HANNUKAH PUMPKIN

Halloween was over but I still had several pumpkins sitting around in Lubbock during December in the mid 1990's. I thought it might be fun to carve a Hannukah pumpkin.

Of course we all know the story of Hannukah and how the oil lasted 8 days. Well, carved pumpkins are notorious for softening and decaying in a few days if left inside (I only took it outside for this picture). Miracle of miracles, our Hannukah pumpkin survived (in reasonable good shape I might add) til the end of Hannukah.
